World War II December 7, 1941 through December 31, 1946

Korean Conflict June 27, 1950 through January 31, 1955

Vietnam Era August 5, 1964 through May 7, 1975

(Veterans who served in the Republic of Vietnam between 11/1/55 – 8/4/64 are eligible)

American Merchant Marines December 7, 1941 through August 15, 1945

90 days of active service 

One day during a period of war

Active combat not required

NEED FOR AID

Living in an Assisted Living Or Nursing Home

OR Receiving Home Care

OR Getting help from a friend or
family member in your home

FINANCIAL LIMITS

If you fit the service requirements and
the need for aid, income and assets
should not hold you back from getting
benefits, if you do the proper planning

Veterans and their surviving spouses can be eligible for money to help pay for their care.
